Emergency Donation Needed For This Rescue
Birds And Beaks
HOW CAN I JOIN AT HOME?
Are you able to contact other parrot lovers and friends from home? If so, we would greatly benefit from your help. You can help once a week for an hour or three days a week. It doesn't matter. We and the parrots need your help!
I WORK FULL TIME. HOW CAN I HELP?
MAKE A DONATION OR DONATE TIME
MANY BIRDS ARE IN NEED IN EACH STATE! WHERE DO YOU LIVE? Some rescues provide excellent care, housing and time with parrots while others do not. Some breeders overbreed, do not test for disease and keep their avians in deplorable conditions. Yet some breeder do a fantastic job bringing up baby chicks and handling them for human companionship.
Our organization is here to help those birds that fall through the cracks. They are the ones shoved in drawers, are not disease tested, and end up ignored in cages leading to health and behavioural issues. Legislative Rights for Parrots appreciates any donation or volunteer who can help us in our mission: Support People who Support Parrots. If you don't have time to volunteer, please donate. If your passion is helping new parrot owners or moving legislation to help parrots, please volunteer for your local community and state. We are here to help one another in ensuring parrots are living a life as best as they can dwelling with humans. We don't just need you, the PARROTS DO!
We understand that your time is valuable. Between caring for family and taking care of work and the home, you may not have time to volunteer for parrots in your state. You can make a monthly donation that will help cover our costs. The board will decide where the money goes such as paying for lawyers, sending volunteers to committees, etc. Monthly board meetings will be posted to keep you, a donor, in the loop.
WHEN IS VOTING?
WE'RE SEARCHING FOR VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE JOIN US!
Want to make a difference for parrots? Please join us in donations or volunteering to pass legislation for the Rights of Parrots. No parrot deserves to live an abandoned life. They deserve love and support from humans to live in a social, appropriate environment for their well being. Honestly, parrots deserve to live in the wild, but while parrots are kept in captivity, they deserve to live a long life of happiness provided by their human caretaker.
Please provide your email. I will forward it to the person who is covering your state. Once we have everything alinged and a bill proposed in each State Congress, a decision will be made. If they accept our proposal it will get into the voting poll. The volunteer in charge of your state will email you and inform you of the opportunity to vote yes on our bill for your state. If there isn't a representative for your state, we hope you will step up to the plate and help push the legislation forward.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
SUPPORTING ALL BIRDS IN THE US
DONATIONs help us pay legal fees and other bills. Your donations are greatly appreciated. But what will really drive this project forward is heart! We need volunteers who are willing and able to make a dedication to identifying political figures in their state that can help. We need people who can do this as well as attend a monthly meeting on their progress and help us reach our legislative goals. Currently, we are looking to just integrate laws into states that protect people who call in concerns without the fear of backlash. People call in concerns for potential food contamination from restaurants and they aren't sued. So, why are people who raise a concern with how parrots are handled and cared for? This is why we need to put laws into place protecting people who are trying to do right and call in concerns. So help us financially with paying lawyers or get involved on the ground collection signatures and reaching out to people. Both are greatly needed. Thank you for visiting our site, and we hope to hear from you soon. We aren't looking to change the world but to make it safer, healthier and happier for both humans and birds alike.
